A three-day pause in attacks on Kyiv was announced, coinciding with a new attempt to bring Russia and Ukraine closer together. This truce represents a temporary ceasefire in the confrontations between the two countries.

The decision was announced during a meeting at the Kremlin between the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, and envoys of the former US president, Donald Trump. Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner were the American representatives present at this meeting.

Witkoff and Kushner's mission aims to relaunch peace negotiations between Russians and Ukrainians. This is a diplomatic effort to try to find a solution to the conflict opposing the two countries.

The three-day ceasefire arises as a gesture of good will in the context of these negotiations, seeking to create favorable conditions for the advancement of the peace process.
