The political party JPP (Juntos Pelo Povo) promoted jornadas dedicated to the theme of ferry and territorial continuity, expressing the importance of these maritime links for the autonomous regions.
Élvio Sousa, a figure associated with JPP, stated that when the party is in Government, it will guarantee the operation of the ferry throughout the year, regardless of the mainland's position, declaring: "When we are Government, we will have Ferry all year round, whether Lisbon likes it or not".
