Man dies after being hit on the A33 in the Montijo area

A man died last night after being hit on the A33, in the Montijo area. The accident occurred at kilometre 33 of the motorway, in the Montijo/Casas Velhas direction, which corresponds to the west-east direction.

The alert for the accident was given at 00:40, and emergency services were dispatched to the scene. Authorities went to the location to provide assistance, but it was not possible to save the victim.

Death was declared at the scene of the hit-and-run, without it being possible to specify more details about the exact circumstances of the accident or the identity of the victim. The causes and responsibilities of the incident are being investigated by the competent authorities.
