The Government of Mozambique approved new rules for private air operators through the new Regulation on the Licensing of Private Air Operators, which recently entered into force.
The new rules include the introduction of digital licenses with anti-fraud mechanisms, replacing the paper documents previously used.
The regulation also creates new categories of air work, expanding the legal framework for different types of operations in the sector.
Private air operators are now required to report monthly to the regulatory authority information on passengers transported, routes used, and flight hours completed.
