Pacense athlete Célia Neto has been called up by the Portuguese Camping and Mountaineering Federation to join the National Team in the Elite category of the Skyrunning World Championship, which will be held between September 18 and 20 in La Gomera, in the Canary Islands, Spain. This call-up comes just months after the athlete won the title of Skyrunning Masters World Champion in July, in the French Alps, where she won the women's Over 40 category and contributed to Portugal's team world title. Participation in the World Championship represents another recognition of Célia Neto's sporting career, as she will have the opportunity to compete among the world's best specialists in the sport.
