A volcanic eruption in Indonesia caused the closure of several airports in the country. The ash cloud resulting from volcanic activity forced authorities to suspend operations at multiple air infrastructures.
The international Soekarno-Hatta airport in Jakarta was one of the most affected by the closure. In addition to this, three other airports located in the Indonesian capital also had their operations suspended due to safety conditions created by the eruption.
Two other international airports were also closed. These are the international airports of Bandung and Radin, which joined the list of airport infrastructures to temporarily cease operations.
Indonesian aviation authorities are monitoring the situation and assessing safety conditions before proceeding with the reopening of airports affected by this volcanic eruption.
