The book "O caso Freud" ("Becoming Freud"), a non-traditional biography of the father of psychoanalysis, will be released in Brazil in the first half of 2027 by publisher Paidós. This is the first edition of the book made available in the country.
The work mainly focuses on the intellectual and personal formation of Sigmund Freud, addressing aspects of his trajectory that go beyond his scientific production. Among the themes explored are issues of immigration and Jewish identity, which played a fundamental role in the life of the psychoanalyst.
The book represents a different approach from traditional biography, offering the reader a broader perspective on Freud. The publication arrives at the Brazilian editorial market as a significant contribution to studies on the life and work of the creator of psychoanalysis.
