President of the United States Donald Trump's envoys presented Russian President Vladimir Putin with a proposal to end the war in Ukraine. The meeting lasted until late at night.

Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner were the American representatives who met with Putin. The Kremlin spokesperson confirmed the meeting but did not reveal details about the content of the negotiations.

The situation was described as "not simple" by those involved. On this Sunday, Witkoff and Kushner are expected to travel to Kiev to present the plan to the Ukrainian side.
