Carrascal completed one year of Flamengo last Wednesday, in great style. He was the best on the field in the 2-0 victory over Mirassol, in the Brasileirão, after scoring a goal and providing an assist. The Colombian may have an irregular trajectory marked by discipline controversies, but he is going through one of his best moments with the club's shirt precisely in this post-World Cup period, showing maturity and confirming the good sequence on the field.
In the last seven games of the season, the midfielder accumulates eight direct goal contributions, with three goals in the net and five assists. Although most of them (five) happened in two matches against Mirassol, the performances serve to give confidence to a player of great usefulness for the Portuguese coach Leonardo Jardim.
Carrascal was called up by Colombia to play in the last World Cup and is considered a versatile midfielder. In addition to playing centrally, commanding the game, he may receive a new opportunity against Remo, today, at 4pm.
