João Victor Gonçalves was targeted in an attack considered homophobic upon leaving Rock in Rio in the early hours of Saturday (5). The actor, who plays the character Mau Mau in the soap opera "Quem ama cuida," shared an emotional video after the incident.
After the publication, several colleagues and celebrities expressed care and solidarity for João Victor. Among the names who took to social media to support him were Pedro Waddington, Lucas Jagger, Sergio Guizé, Isabela Garcia, Zélia Duncan, and Bruno Fagundes.
Pedro Alves, who plays one of the boys with whom Mau Mau has a closer relationship in the plot, published a long message about the case. The actor stated that what João suffered causes him deep pain and leaves him in a state of rage and helplessness that he cannot explain.
