The National Enduro Sprint Championship takes place this Sunday, September 6, in Paranhos da Beira, in the municipality of Seia. This is the opening of the 2026 season of the competition, organized by the association Talentos Objetivos under the umbrella of the Portuguese Motorcycling Federation, marking an unprecedented moment for local motorsport.
The newspaper spoke with local rider Mário Patrão, who confirmed that he will not be competing on the starting grid. This year, Patrão takes on the role of race director, having highlighted the work of preparing the course and the expectation of a great show for enthusiasts of the sport.
The competition is scheduled to start at 10:00 and features a total course of 21.5 km, divided into two special tests: the Oliveiras MX Track, with a 5 km extension, and the Adjacent Special, with 4.2 km parallel to the main track.
Elite class riders must complete the circuit five times, while the Verde, Veterans and Ladies categories will do four laps. The participants in the Promotion, Electric and Hobby classes will complete three laps of the course.
