The National Association of Federal Police Delegates (ADPF) asked this Saturday that the attorney general of Brazil, Paulo Gonet, declare himself impeded in the Master case. The public statement comes after Gonet opened an investigation into a "possible occurrence of order or external interference" in the production of the PF report that pointed out the relationship of banker Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Master, between Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes and the Attorney General.
The ADPF requested that Gonet abstain from taking action in the procedures related to the facts in which he is mentioned, both as a law enforcement official and as the head of external oversight. The association also asked that the instituted procedure be archived for considering the avenue inadequate for questioning an act of the STF.
The entity's note adds that the facts that came to light through Operation Compliance Zero be investigated in full, without selectivity regarding the authorities involved. The association advocates for a complete and impartial investigation into the case.
