The Datafolha survey released on Saturday reveals that 46% of Brazilian voters say they are more concerned about this year's presidential election outcome than they were in 2022. Another 28% say they are just as concerned as in the last election, while 24% are less apprehensive. Only 2% of those surveyed did not know how to answer.
The survey shows that voters who currently declare their intention to vote for President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) have the lowest concern index. Among these voters, only 30% say they are more concerned than four years ago, when the main adversary of the candidate seeking re-election was Jair Bolsonaro. In comparison with the contest against the ex-president's eldest son, Flavio Bolsonaro (PL), 33% say they are less concerned and 35% show themselves equally concerned.
On the other hand, voters who say they intend to vote for the Bolsonaro candidate register a higher apprehension index, with 63% declaring they are more concerned about this election's outcome. In this regard, right-wing voters are technically on par with supporters of other candidates, such as Renan Santos, from Missão, with 59%, and Ronaldo Caiado, from PSD, with 56%.
