The exhibition "Centenary of the Elevation of Estremoz to City 1926-2026" was inaugurated on Saturday, September 5th, at the Teatro Bernardim Ribeiro. The exhibition presents a journey through the history and evolution of the city of Estremoz over the last 100 years.
The opening ceremony featured the presentation of the commemorative CTT postal stationery, marking the Centenary of the Elevation of Estremoz to City. This commemorative stamp celebrates the 100 years since the town was elevated to city status.
The exhibition thus celebrates the anniversary of 1926, the year when Estremoz achieved city status, which is now being commemorated two years in advance through this cultural and historical initiative.
