Rock in Rio opened its gates at noon this Saturday for the second day of the festival, with the pre-opening intended for audience accommodation and security checks before access to Cidade do Rock, located in the Southwest Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The arrival of fans was smooth for those who used public transportation, which was prioritized as the means of access, and traffic in the surroundings did not present significant congestion.
Among the visitors were Elyziania Araújo, 26 years old, and Pietro Colavite, 24 years old, who left together from Paraguaçu Paulista to attend the event. Fans from other states were also part of the audience that waited with anxiety for the start of the performances of the second day.
The weather, which was clear during the morning, began to close in around 12:30 PM. The Operations and Resilience Center (COR) of the city of Rio issued an alert indicating possibility of heavy rain and winds that can reach up to 80 km/h during the festival.
