The PSPV-PSOE of Castelló criticized that rural roads in 31 municipalities in the province were left without aid to be repaired. The socialists hold the government of the Generalitat, controlled by the PP, responsible for this situation.
According to data cited by the party, almost six out of every ten of the 54 applications from Castellón that had passed the initial phase were left without financial support. This means that the lack of budget will have left without aid a large part of the municipalities that met the initial requirements of the program.
The PSPV highlighted that this decision especially affects the smallest municipalities in the province, which depend on these funds to maintain rural infrastructure in adequate conditions. The lack of investment in these roads has a direct impact on the daily lives of rural populations and the agricultural activities of the region.
