From September 14 to 16, the Festivities of Santa Luzia and Santa Eufémia take place in Castelejo, coinciding with the municipal holiday on September 15, the day of Santa Luzia. These festivities are considered the largest religious manifestation in Cova da Beira.
The festival program highlights the religious component, without forgetting entertainment, traditions, and iconographies. Highlights include the Candle Procession on September 14 at 10:00 PM and the Solemn Mass followed by Procession and collection of the image of Santa Luzia on September 15 at 11:00 AM.
On the cultural side, performances by Virgílio Faleiro, "De Moda em Moda" and "João Clara e Mónica" are scheduled, as well as the traditional parade accompanied by groups of drums and folklore troupes.
The pilgrimage of Santa Luzia is pointed out as the highlight of religious and popular culture in the municipality of Fundão.
