The Évora City Hall admits revisiting the protocol related to the creation of a football academy in the city. The vice-president of the municipality, Jerónimo José, confirmed that the previously established agreement was not implemented and that he is open to reevaluating the terms of the protocol to make the project viable.
The project of a football academy in Évora is an old claim of the Évora Football Association, which has been advocating for its implementation for several years. However, so far, the initiative has not progressed, remaining only as a promise to be fulfilled.
Jerónimo José recognizes that the initial protocol did not produce the expected results and states that the municipality is willing to analyze new conditions so that the project can finally move forward. The review of the agreement appears as an attempt to overcome the obstacles that have prevented the implementation of this sports infrastructure in the city.
