Toni Borevković and Alan were the latest signings confirmed by Vitória de Guimarães in this transfer window. The 29-year-old Croatian centre-back returned to the club on loan from Samsunspor until the end of the season, after having already represented the Conquistadores between 2021 and 2025. Brazilian midfielder Alan, 26, arrived on a free transfer after terminating his contract with Moreirense, signing until 2028 and taking the number 10 shirt. Both were immediately placed at the disposal of manager Tiago Margarido.
In total, Vitória signed nine players this summer, almost forming a complete eleven. Polish goalkeeper Oliwier Zych arrived on loan from Aston Villa for the goal. In defence, besides Borevković's return, Colombian Yeimar Mosquera was signed permanently and Frenchman Ahmed Sidibé on loan. In midfield, Burkina Faso's Lohann Douzet was acquired. In attack, the signings were Patrick Ouotro, Victor Andersson, and Arnel Jakupović. Full-back was the only position without signings.
In terms of departures, the highlight goes to the million-euro transfers of Noah Saviolo to Trabzonspor for 11.5 million euros and Diogo Sousa to Strasbourg for 11 million, potentially reaching 15 million depending on objectives. Goalkeeper Charles and forward Nelson Oliveira left at the end of their contracts, while Abascal headed to Saudi Arabia and Orest Lebedenko transferred to Arouca. Dieu-Merci Michel was sold to United FC in Dubai and Miguel Nóbrega was loaned to União de Leiria.
At the end of the window, Tiago Margarido has a squad of 29 players, distributed across four goalkeepers, five centre-backs, four full-backs, eight midfielders, five wingers and three forwards. It now falls to the coach to turn this renewed group into a cohesive and competitive team throughout the season.
