The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, ordered a three-day ceasefire on attacks against the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, according to the Kremlin on Saturday. The decision was made after the arrival in the region of White House envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who visited both Moscow and Kiev. The two American representatives traveled to the Russian capital and the Ukrainian capital to hold diplomatic talks.
