Train circulation on the Northern Line was resumed at 12:20, after being interrupted in the Cartaxo area. The interruption was due to a signaling failure.
The information was reported to the Portuguese news agency by the official source from Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP), the entity responsible for managing the national railway infrastructure.
The Northern Line is one of Portugal's main railway lines, connecting Lisbon to Porto and the north of the country. The section affected by the failure is located in the Cartaxo region, in the district of Santarém.
With the repair of the signaling failure, railway traffic was restored, allowing the normal resumption of trains on that line.
