The Public Prosecutor's Office requested from Odemira Municipal Council information about the works carried out at the estate of the family of the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, in São Teotónio. The request was made in July and aims to determine if there was any illegality in the construction.
The investigation focuses on works that Luís Neves is said to have started when he was still leading the Judicial Police, without submitting any project. The case involves the minister's family property, located in the district of Beja.
The request for information was revealed by Correio da Manhã, appearing three days before the debate on the motion of no confidence presented by Chega, which adds an additional political context to the disclosure of this judicial investigation.
