Two men were arrested by the Public Security Police (PSP) after allegedly stealing a parcel delivery vehicle in Rio de Mouro. The robbery allegedly occurred in this locality and the suspects fled with the vehicle.
The location of the vehicle was made possible through the GPS system installed in the stolen vehicle. This system allowed authorities to track the suspects' route in real time.
The police pursuit ended in Caldas da Rainha, where the two men were eventually intercepted and arrested by authorities. At the time of the arrest, a replica weapon was seized.
The case involves alleged carjacking crimes, increasingly known as vehicle theft, and the detainees will now be presented to judicial authorities for the appropriate legal proceedings.
