The Portuguese Ivone Silva achieved the title of junior paragliding world champion, a feat that marks her sporting career and puts Portugal in the spotlight in the sport. The athlete achieved this victory after a high-level competition against other young practitioners from around the world.

Ivone Silva grew up surrounded by the sport, having been born and always lived with a launch area close to her home. This proximity to paragliding since childhood was decisive for her development in the discipline and for the passion she currently dedicates to the sport.

Besides the sporting achievement, the young Portuguese expressed the desire to inspire more young people to take up paragliding. Her success story is intended to serve as an example and motivation for other people, especially young people, who may consider the sport as a viable and attractive option.
