Rock in Rio 2026 presented a fully renovated Mundo Stage, with a large LED screen. The space is 104 meters long and 31.05 meters high, in addition to approximately 2,400m² of screen area. There was great anticipation to see how artists would use this new structure.
The decision regarding the use of the screen was left to each artist's discretion, who would have freedom to play or experiment as they wished. The festival offered this alternative without imposing specific rules on how shows should be presented.
On the festival's first day, which took place on Friday (4), only headliner Foo Fighters made significant use of the LED screen. The band came on stage with a practically complete image on the screen, which generated great excitement among the audience present, who were able to follow the show from any position at the event.
Although the image decreased in size during the performance, the screen remained active and complete throughout the Foo Fighters' show, unlike the other artists of the night, such as Nova Twins, The Hives, and Rise Against, who did not use the resource in a similar way.
