Alto Minho TV5 September 2026 at 10:30

The Fortress of Valença received the return of the Medieval Market, transporting visitors back to the 16th century. The event promises to attract thousands of people to the heart of Valença.

The program is inspired by the Middle Ages and includes moments of music, theater, grand shows and historical recreations. Until Sunday, merchants, artisans, musicians, artists, knights and period characters bring life to the streets and spaces of the Fortress.

In the market tents, visitors find handicrafts, leather pieces, iron and wood items, spices, liqueurs, conventual sweets and other delicacies typical of the medieval period.
