The first international school in Leiria was inaugurated today, marking an important milestone for education in the region. The new campus is located in Leiria and represents an educational offering that until now did not exist in the district.

The institution will welcome children from 3 to 11 years of age, thus covering pre-school education and the first years of primary school. This educational project aims to attract families seeking differentiated training for their children.

Teaching will be provided exclusively in English, providing students with total immersion in the language. The adopted curriculum follows the International Baccalaureate programme, an internationally recognized educational system valued by universities around the world.

The island stands out for its warm climate (with temperatures around 26°C in October), lower cost of living compared to the UK, accessible healthcare, and direct flights. As the centre of the Minoan civilization, Crete offers archaeological heritage such as the Palace of Knossos, varied landscapes ranging from mountains and cliffs to beaches and traditional villages, as well as rich gastronomy and Venetian, Ottoman and Greek architectural influences in cities like Heraklion, Chania, Rethymno and Agios Nikolaos.
