Moreirense traveled to the Estádio do Dragão to face FC Porto, in a match from the fifth round of the Portuguese championship. The team from Moreira de Cónegos was the first to score, at 20 minutes, when Dinis Pinto appeared at the far post to finish a cross by João Veloso, putting the cónegos ahead.
FC Porto's response came 17 minutes later, with Bednarek restoring equality through a header following a free kick taken by Willian Gomes. In the second half, the dragons completed the comeback. Pepê crossed to the far post and Bednarek appeared again to make it 2-1, securing the three points for Francesco Farioli's team.
With this result, FC Porto maintains their perfect record in the championship, with five wins in five rounds, while Moreirense continues with just four points. Vasco Botelho da Costa's side returns to the pitch next Wednesday, October 9, to host Benfica, in a delayed match from the third round, scheduled for 8:45 PM.
