The 22-year-old Greek Stavros Floros gained notoriety in Greece by participating in the reality show Survivor — a model similar to the Brazilian No Limite. His trajectory on the reality show, however, was interrupted by a serious accident during the program.
Floros was practicing spearfishing in open sea, near the island of Saona, in the Dominican Republic, when he was hit by a tourist boat. The young man suffered an amputation of his left leg and a serious injury to his right ankle.
After the accident, Floros went to court against the producers of Survivor and began seeking compensation exceeding $100 million. According to information attributed to TMZ, the lawsuit questions the safety conditions adopted during the activity and argues that the producers should be held responsible for the damages suffered by the participant.
