The Foo Fighters were the main act of the first night of Rock in Rio 2026, using the festival's LED screen. Dave Grohl came running onto the stage, chewing his traditional gum, and asked the audience if they were ready before starting the show.
Dave himself took the lead on guitar for "All My Life," driving the audience into immediate frenzy. The band, energized and sharp as a sextet, featured drummer Ilan Rubin making his Brazil debut, and the song featured an improvised ending.
The show lasted about two hours, limited by the festival's curfew, since the Foo Fighters usually play longer during their performances.
The band justified an almost exclusive festival day, as the other international acts could not match their popularity. The group demonstrated pleasure in entertaining tens of thousands of people, confirming their status as a world rock headliner.
