Rock in Rio started this Friday (4) with a program marked by rock in different variations. The festival brought to the Sunset Stage singer Di Ferrero, who opened the edition revisiting classics from NX Zero, the band he founded, as well as performing a Nirvana cover. In black in the middle of Friday afternoon sun, the artist presented a poppier and sexier vibe than NX Zero, starting the Sunset Stage programming.
The English duo Nova Twins opened the World Stage with their "sonic pandemonium", bringing their performance to the festival for the first time. Amy Love and Georgia, members of the band, went up to the main stage to present their sound that blends different rock influences.
The main attraction of the evening was the American band Foo Fighters, who closed the World Stage programming. The group, one of the most established bands in world rock, was responsible for closing the first day of the festival with their performance awaited by the audience present.
The newspaper O Globo published complete reviews of the first day presentations, as well as a ranking of the best shows. The complete coverage also includes a real-time broadcast of the festival and an interactive game for readers to build their ideal lineup of the event.
