Luís Miguel Rego finished the first stage of the 59th Volta à Ilha de São Miguel by Azores in the lead. The driver was not intimidated and managed to maintain the prominent position at the end of the opening stage.
Pedro Câmara was the driver who shone the most on the first day of the competition. He finished in fifth position in the overall classification and took the lead in the 2 Wheel Drive category.
Câmara showed his claws during this first stage, demonstrating a strong performance that allowed him to secure the lead in his category. The event continues to take place on São Miguel Island, in the Azores.
