Emirates launched the world's first electric seat in Premium Economy Class on its Airbus A350 aircraft, an innovation that includes an adjustable privacy partition between each seat, extending to the full height of the seat. This is the first feature of its kind in Premium Economy cabins worldwide, representing the airline's latest investment to elevate the passenger experience.
The seats are installed in a 2-3-2 configuration with just 28 seats, featuring a width of 50 centimeters and a seat pitch of 99 centimeters. The seats also recline without interfering with the row behind, allowing passengers to relax and sleep comfortably during long-haul flights. This feature is exclusively available on the Emirates new Airbus A350 fleet aircraft.
Since the introduction of Premium Economy Class on Lisbon-Dubai flights, operated by the Boeing 777, in June 2025, average cabin occupancy has grown 20%. The profile of passengers choosing this class is diverse, encompassing both leisure and corporate travel, with greater comfort being the main factor in choosing this class.
With two daily flights between Lisbon and Dubai, Emirates connects Portuguese passengers to over 140 destinations worldwide. The new features are particularly relevant for customers continuing their journey on long-haul Airbus A350 flights to destinations in Asia, the Indian Ocean, and Africa, reinforcing the airline's commitment to an increasingly comfortable and personalized travel experience.
