The first day of Rock in Rio took place under intense sunshine and extreme heat, with a maximum temperature of 34°C recorded by Alerta Rio, the weather system of the city of Rio de Janeiro. The adverse weather conditions required special attention from the event organizers to ensure the comfort and safety of the audience.

During this first day of the festival, more than ten thousand liters of water were distributed to spectators, a volume equivalent to fifty thousand cups. This data was reported to GLOBO newspaper by concessionaire Iguá Rio, responsible for water supply at the event.

The company kept one hundred water sprayers and vaporizers circulating through the City of Rock from 9am to 5pm, refilling bottles and distributing biodegradable cups to attendees. In addition to these professionals, there were hydration stations spread throughout the festival space to meet the public's demand.

Despite the widespread distribution of water, many spectators who chose not to hydrate properly ended up having to resort to the medical care stations available at the event, highlighting the risks of dehydration on days of intense heat.
