A meeting between representatives of federal, state, and municipal agencies is scheduled for next week to align joint actions, define the start date of the operations, and detail the operational plan to increase security in the logistics corridors considered priority in Rio de Janeiro.
The meeting will be the first concrete initiative after the signing, last Thursday, of two Technical Cooperation Agreements (TCAs) between the Ministry of Justice and Public Security and the state government. The objective of these agreements is to strengthen the integration between local and federal security forces in combating organized crime.
Among the corridors initially defined as priority are Avenida Brasil, Linha Vermelha, Linha Amarela, and access roads to the Port of Rio de Janeiro and Tom Jobim International Airport.
