Rock in Rio kicked off its 11th edition in the city of Rio de Janeiro this Friday, with a lineup dedicated to the musical genre that gave rise to the festival. The City of Rock welcomes more than 100,000 spectators per day during the event.
The Foo Fighters close the lineup on the Mundo Stage, with the show scheduled to start at 12:05 AM and last over two hours. On the Sunset Stage, the main act is Capital Inicial, which pays tribute to Renato Russo, leader of Legião Urbana, marking 30 years since his death.
Critics from newspaper O GLOBO will be present at the City of Rock to cover all shows on the Mundo and Sunset stages, as well as the main highlights from the smaller stages. The newspaper's editorial team will also follow the festival on television, expanding coverage beyond the in-person audience.
