The City of Rock opened its gates at exactly 2 PM this Friday for Rock in Rio's first day. The debut of this edition will be dedicated to the weight of the genre that gives the festival its name, with the band Foo Fighters as the main act. The audience entered the arena shouting with happiness, running and singing the event's official song.

The style of those present does justice to the day's theme, with boots, chains, metal, bandanas, robust rings and bracelets, band shirts, long hair and the predominance of black color illustrating the festival everywhere.

Nicole Lugue Machado, a 23-year-old designer from São Paulo, talked about her relationship with rock. According to her, her parents are rockers and she grew up listening to music of the genre. Nicole stated that she is very eclectic and revealed she plans to attend every day of this weekend and one day of the event's second weekend.
