LIVRE Barcelos accused the current municipal executive of "continuing to delay concrete responses" for affordable housing, criticizing the lack of effective measures despite the concept having been included in the review of the Municipal Master Plan. The party considered that simply including the term is not enough without concrete implementation policies.
During the public consultation period, LIVRE submitted amendment proposals both to the PDM and to the new General Parking and Parkade Regulation, seeking to influence municipal policies in these areas. These contributions aimed to fill gaps that the party identified in the municipality's approach.
LIVRE's criticism arises in the context of a broader debate on the need for concrete responses for affordable housing in the municipality of Barcelos. The party argues that the rhetoric does not correspond to practical actions by the municipal executive.
