The National Development Bank (BNDES) approved R$ 300 million in financing to support the Electrolux Group's research, development and innovation (RD&I) plan in Brazil. The operation was carried out through the BNDES Mais Inovação program, which offers differentiated financial conditions and competitive rates for business investments in innovation.
The funds will be destined for the development of technologies for 26 products, including refrigerators, air conditioning units, ovens, airfryers, coffee makers, water purifiers, vacuum cleaners and robot vacuum cleaners. Among the planned fronts are artificial intelligence applications, energy efficiency and new technologies for improving product performance.
The activities will be conducted mainly by the Electrolux Group's Innovation Center, in Curitiba (PR), with participation from the units in São José dos Pinhais (PR) and Manaus (AM).
