The Municipality of Tábua inaugurated, on Friday morning (4), the second Biomass Park in the county, located in Venda da Serra, in the parish of Mouronho. The infrastructure, spanning 5,000 square meters, was created for the disposal of forest and agricultural waste, reinforcing the municipal strategy for fire prevention and sustainable management of the region's natural resources.
The new park emerges as a response to the county's territorial management needs, which faces recurring challenges related to the accumulation of combustible material in rural areas. By concentrating forest and agricultural waste in a dedicated space, the municipality aims to reduce the risk of fires and promote more efficient use of these materials.
With this opening, Tábua now has two parks of this nature in its territory, demonstrating the town council's commitment to prevention and environmental sustainability policies. The Venda da Serra infrastructure thus joins the municipal network dedicated to biomass management.
