Sofia Benevenuto, a young 25-year-old Portuguese artist residing in Azeitão, presents the exhibition "Interstice" at the Azeitão Library. The works, developed over the past few years, invite the public to explore a universe in constant transformation, where color, form and emotion establish an ongoing dialogue.
The exhibition shares with the public a pictorial journey that inhabits spaces of transition between the abstract and the figurative, identity and imagination, movement and contemplation. Sofia Benevenuto holds a degree in Art History and works with oil and acrylic paint on small and medium-sized canvases, immortalizing experiences, ideas and sensations.
The painter's artistic concept is described as very experimental, sometimes close to animated realism, other times abstract and slightly naïve, especially in terms of originality, spontaneity and the use of vivid colors.
The exhibition "Interstice" has free admission and can be visited Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Starting September 16, the exhibition will also be available on Saturdays, between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
