Benfica traveled to Madeira to face Marítimo, but two of their most recent signings were not part of the trip. Ezequiel Echeverri and El Karouani did not accompany the team for the Portuguese League match.
Echeverri, a recent signing for the red-and-whites, was not an option for the match. The young Colombian was still not available to be used by the coach.
El Karouani was also left out of the squad that traveled to Madeira. The winger, recently signed by Benfica, did not join the trip.
The match against Marítimo takes place in Madeira and marks another round of the national championship, where Benfica seeks to continue adding points to their League standings.
