A wing of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) has started defending that the attorney general of Brazil, Paulo Gonet, should not act in the case about the messages exchanged between Minister Alexandre de Moraes and businessman Daniel Vorcaro. The position of this current of the Court is that Gonet should be recused from conducting the case.
The defense of this wing of the court points to the need for Gonet to step aside from the process. With this, it would be the deputy PGR's turn to take over the conduct of the investigations related to the alleged scheme of messages between the minister and Vorcaro.
The case involves the messages allegedly exchanged between Alexandre de Moraes and the businessman. The content of these communications has been the subject of controversy and analysis within the STF, generating divergences among the ministers.
