Rafael Soares criticizes Benfica deal: "It wasn't good"
Richard Ríos officially left Benfica and will represent Al Ittihad on loan. After the entire document exchange during the early hours of Wednesday, the deal was announced late at night, but the operation is far from being consensual.
For Rafael Soares, it is impossible to consider positive the way the Eagles conducted the process. Rafael Soares stated that nobody can look at Richard Ríos' deal and say it was a good deal, considering that Ríos cost Benfica 27 million euros, one of the most expensive in the history of Portuguese football, and was sent packing.
Benfica did not want to have Ríos in the squad, which is why they loaned him to Al Ittihad. Rafael Soares considers that there is an undefined future for Ríos, as everything depends on what he will do outside Benfica so that the club may come to earn more money with the operation.
