Valença will install new video surveillance cameras in the urban area

The Municipality of Valença, in partnership with the GNR, will install a video surveillance system in the urban area of the city, with the aim of reinforcing crime prevention. This new system complements the cameras already existing in the Fortress.

Sixteen new video surveillance cameras will be installed in the urban area of the municipality. The information was provided by a source from the municipal council, who did not reveal further details about the exact location of the equipment.

The municipality of Valença belongs to the district of Viana do Castelo, located in the northern region of Portugal. The partnership with the GNR aims to reinforce security in the city centre, beyond the perimeter of the historic Fortress.
