The National Semi-Final of the New 7 Wonders of Portugal® takes place on Saturday, September 5, at 9:30 PM, at the National Palace of Sintra, in the historic center of the town. The initiative marks the entry of the competition into the national phase and will be decisive in determining the heritage that advances to the National Grand Final.
In total, 49 National Semi-Finalists are in competition, seven for each of the seven categories in contest. At this stage, the public plays a decisive role, through voting that will determine the 21 National Finalists, three per category.
The semi-final also constitutes an opportunity to give greater visibility to the diversity of Portuguese heritage, highlighting its contribution to national identity, tourist attractiveness and the enhancement of territories. This stage held in Sintra represents a decisive moment in the journey of the candidacies towards the National Grand Final of the New 7 Wonders of Portugal®.
