Visma returned to dominate the breakaway in the race, achieving another flat finish after having broken up the race in the final part of the stage. The team demonstrated its strength once again by controlling the situation in the decisive part of the competition.
Wout van Aert was the main protagonist of the stage, attacking in the final four kilometres of the race. The Belgian rider managed to isolate himself from the group and secure the best conditions for the final sprint.
At the finish, Van Aert beat Paret-Peintre in the sprint, securing the stage victory. The Frenchman ended up being the main loser of the breakaway, unable to respond to the Belgian's attack.
The victory reinforces Visma's dominance in the race, which had already shown strength in previous breakaways. Van Aert's performance in the final part demonstrated his excellent physical condition and ability to make decisions in the decisive moments of the competition.
