On the day of the presentations of Anthony Valencia, 23 years old, and Joaquín Freitas, 19 years old, as new signings for Flamengo, football director José Boto spoke about the club's latest movements in the market. The Portuguese explained that the window would not bring big names, but young players with potential for future projection. Boto celebrated the renewal of Erick Pulgar until 2029, who was briefly present in the press room at Ninho do Urubu alongside the director.
Boto lamented the negotiation considered "messy" for Almada, without going into details about the reasons for the frustration. The club seeks young reinforcements with a future ahead, following a different strategy from the big names that marked previous windows.
The director guaranteed that the football department will work on the next contract renewals. According to Boto, after Pulgar's renewal, the next players to have their contracts extended should be forward Pedro and defender Léo Pereira, in that order.
