The candidate for governor of the state of Rio de Janeiro from PSD, Eduardo Paes, visited this Friday (4) the Center for Intelligence, Surveillance and Technology in Support of Public Security, known as Civitas. He was at the location accompanied by the vice on the ticket, Jane Reis, and the Senate candidate from PSD, Pedro Paulo.
During the visit, Paes promised to extend the crime tracking and confrontation technology, used at the Center, to other regions of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The goal would be to expand the security systems that already operate at the visited unit.
The candidate also spoke about holding international shows in the state. Questioned by CBN, Paes stated that, if elected, there will be no state public investments in international shows, such as the event "Todo Mundo no Rio," held by the City Hall during his term as mayor.
However, the candidate promised to promote similar events in the interior of the state, in what he called "Todo Mundo na Região dos Lagos." Paes defended that he will help cities in the interior attract big attractions and events, arguing that this type of initiative boosts the local economy.
