Portugal and São Tomé and Príncipe are preparing a bilateral summit between the two countries. The information was advanced by the Portuguese prime minister, Luís Montenegro, who argued that the relations between Portugal and São Tomé and Príncipe are marked by high cooperation and proximity.
Carlos Vila Nova took office, for the second time, as President of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, at a ceremony that took place recently. This was his second election to the highest office of the São Tomé state.
The preparation of this summit comes in the context of strengthening bilateral relations between the two Lusophone countries. Montenegro highlighted the importance of cooperation between Portugal and São Tomé and Príncipe, emphasizing the historical and cultural proximity that unites the two nations.
